The University is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to remove an existing 7.1 MMBH cast iron boiler and all associated piping and electrical feeders and replace it with (2) condensing boilers, integrating the controls of the new boilers into the existing BMC system to University standards, providing new electrical feeders as required, new exhausts and all other incidental related work as required to make a complete and operational system. Concrete pad is also to be enlarged and underground fuel oil tank is to be removed. Also remove an existing 1.2 MMBTU water heater/storage tank and replacing it with custom packaged pre-piped domestic water heating system consisting of (2) 430-gallon HW storage tanks and (2) MMBTU water heaters. Integrate the controls of the HW system into the existing BMS system to University standards, provide new electrical feeders as required, new exhausts and all other incidental related work as required to make complete and operational system. The bond must be in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid price and shall be in the form specified with the bid documents. ALL SIGNATURES MUST BE IN ORIGINAL INK, NO STAMPS. The Offeror to whom a contract in excess of $200,000.00 is awarded for Construction Solicitations, or upon Request per the Solicitation, also must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds (See Exhibits I and J), each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, including executed Change Orders, in the form provided with the Solicitation documents. These must be provided at the time of the signing of the contract and prior to the start of any work. Information regarding other forms of security allowed under the USM Board of Regents Procurement Policies and Procedures will be provided upon request to the Procurement Officer. Bid Bonds remain in effect a minimum of ninety (90) days from the bid due date.
