For all work on this project the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, appliances and services required to completely execute the work as set forth on the drawings and in these specifications. The subdivision of these specifications into divisions is not intended to strictly set forth or limit the scope of any subcontractor and shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for executing all work on the project as a whole. The City of Citrus Heights reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof, to accept a bid or portion thereof and to waive any minor informality or irregularity. The successful bidder shall also furnish a Warranty Bond, in a form acceptable to the City in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price plus change orders, to hold good for a period of one year after the completion and acceptance of the work, to protect the City against the results of defective materials, quality of work, and equipment during that time. This bond shall be delivered to the City before the final payment under this Contract will be made. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish insurance as set forth in the Contract Documents. The work to be performed consists, in general, of curb, gutter, sidewalk, retaining walls, storm drain, water main, pavement rehabilitation, signing, striping, traffic signal, and street lighting. The license classification required for this project is Class "A": General Engineering Contractor, issued by the State of California. The license must be active and in good standing as of the date of receipt of bids and must be maintained in good standing throughout the term of the contract. For contracts involving federal funds, the license must be active and in good standing as of the date of the Contract award and must be maintained in good standing throughout the term of the contract.
