The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor and materials to complete the utility relocation and drainage improvements South Main Street Widening and the MacArthur Drive Improvement Projects. More specifically, the project consists of approximately 10,000 LF of water, sewer and reuse water main relocation ranging from 6" to 10" mains plus 10,000 LF storm sewer installation ranging in size from 15" to 36" pipe in preparation of the roadway widening and improvement projects. The project is divided into sections to accommodate all interested contractors. Bids will be accepted for the entire project or phases of the project. Each Contractor must prequalify for bid by submitting a completed "Statement of Bidder Qualifications" form supplied by the Engineer. Bids will be accepted from prequalified bidders only. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of total amount bid for the completed work. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing time schedule for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Award of the contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder. The M/WBE goal for this project is 10% MBE and 3% WBE, for a total M/WBE participation of 13%. MWBE goals apply to the amount of the each bid. All M/WBE documents must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope, otherwise bid may be rejected. Requests for interpretations of Drawings and Specifications must be made in writing to the Engineer no later than seven (7) days prior to date set for receipt of bids, Question Deadline 11/22/2023
