Reference Number 0000333599 The work consists of the installation of steel beams and columns to reinforce the existing concrete slab in the interior of the fire station and any other work needed to complete the project as directed by the Engineer. Question Deadline 11/08/2023 at 2:30 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required The Owner may at any time, as the need arises, order changes within the scope of the Work without invalidating the Agreement. If such changes increase or decrease the amount due under the Contract Documents, or in the time required for performance of the Work, an equitable adjustment shall be authorized by Change Order. All Change Orders must be approved by the Owner and the Engineer. The Engineer, also, may at any time, by issuing a Field Order make changes in the details of the Work. The Contractor shall proceed with the performance of any changes in the Work so ordered by the Engineer unless the Contractor believes that such Field Order entitles him to a change in Contract Price or Time, or both, in which event he shall give the Engineer Written Notice thereof within fifteen (15) days after the receipt of the ordered change, and the Contractor shall not execute such changes pending the receipt of an executed Change Order or further instruction from the Owner. No claim for extra work or cost shall be allowed unless the same was done in pursuance of a written order of the Engineer approved by the Owner, and the claim presented with the first estimate after the change or extra work is done. When the Work is performed under the terms of Article 14 of the General Conditions, the Contractor shall furnish satisfactory bills, payrolls and vouchers covering all items of cost and when requested by the Owner, give the Owner access to accounts relating thereto.
