The School District of Greenville County (District) invites interested firms to submit a SEALED BID for a Window Repair Project at Greenville Middle School located at 339 Lowndes Avenue, Greenville South Carolina 29607 in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and terms and conditions of this solicitation. Question Deadline 10/18/2023 at 10:00 AM ET Questions or comments regarding this solicitation document or the process shall be forwarded, in writing, to Ms. Tonya A. Stroud, Senior Buyer, and Mr. Matt Pettit, Director of Procurement, 2 Space Drive, Taylors, South Carolina 29687. Email addresses are: tstroud@greenville.k12.sc.us and mjpettit@greenville.k12.sc.us. Inquiries and comments shall be delivered to the Procurement Department . Verbal questions/comments shall not be addressed at any time. Greenville Middle Academy is a multi-storied building and was constructed approximately 20 years ago. The existing glazing system is original to the building and is currently in different stages of failure. This project will consist of two phases. The existing glazing in Phase One is considered failing and must be replace first. Phase Two will replaced soon afterwards to prevent any stop work in the project. Please see Construction Drawings for locations of the two different phases. Due to this being an occupied building during the day; GCS is requiring a work schedule 3:00pm 11:00pm and weekends. Security will be provided by GCS. The projects length is 4 months: November 15, 2023 - March 15, 2024; this date may be adjusted based on material availability and weather. After the Inquiry Deadline, the District will issue an addendum to address any questions or changes. Any addenda will be posted on the Procurement Department . Questions and comments received after the Inquiry Deadline will not be addressed. NOTE: No other District personnel or representative of the District shall be contacted regarding this solicitation or the evaluation process. Vendors that attempt to contact other District personnel or representatives or obtain information in any way other than the authorized method, which is in writing to the Procurement Officer, may have that firms bid rejected. All work must be completed four (4) months after issuance of a purchase order and Notice to Proceed. Proposers shall furnish a total of two (2) complete paper bid packages .. All documents (original and copies) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or other enclosure. Solicitation responses shall be in the physical possession of a Procurement Department employee prior to the due time or the solicitation response shall be determined to be late once the due time has occurred. The official time due time for a solicitation response is maintained according to the Time/Date Stamp located in the District Procurement Department.
