Garage Renovation - Toilets/Concessions East Alton Wood River High School East Alton Wood River c.u.s.d. No. 14 The project includes the renovation of existing garage to become a restroom facility; including but not limited to interior concrete slab demolition and replacement, re-pointing of existing masonry walls and demolition of existing asphalt roof shingles with replacement with standing seam metal roofing. The project also includes a small addition to the existing building. The addition is constructed of concrete footings / foundations / slab on grade, concrete masonry unit walls, wood pre-engineered attic trusses with plywood sheathing and standing seam metal roofing. Interior finishes for the new and existing building include quartz epoxy flooring and base, ceramic wall tile, gypsum board ceilings, gypsum wall board on new wood framed partitions, concrete masonry unit partitions and infill, as well as painting of walls and ceilings. Additional exterior finishes to the new and existing building include board insulation and metal wall panels, as well as prefinished metal fascias, soffits and drip edges. Hollow metal door frames, hollow metal doors and insulated coiling counter doors are also included. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing work is commensurate with the work, along with utility work. Other site work includes the demolition of existing asphalt pavement with its replacement after construction. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid bond made payable to the Owner, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid sum. Security shall be either certified check, cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Successful bidder's security will be retained until he has signed the contract and furnished required payment and performance bonds. Owner reserves the right to retain security of the next two (2) lowest bidders until the lowest bidder enters into contract or until sixty (60) days after bid opening, whichever is shorter. All other bid security will be returned as soon as practicable. If any bidder refuses to enter into a contract, Owner will retain bid security as liquidated damages, but not as a penalty. Construction can commence immediately after contract execution. The Owner requires that the project is to be substantially complete by April 26, 2024.
