The intent of this bid is to establish a contract between the School Board and one vendor for the purchase and installation of a fire alarm system at River Ridge Middle/High School. The objective is to replace the existing fire alarm system and keep the building safe. Work to be performed under this contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to provide the fire alarm system. Questions regarding this bid are to be submitted on IONWAVE (pascok12.ionwave.net) where answers can be posted electronically. The deadline for questions concerning this bid is October 25, 2023, at 2:30 PM (ET). Anticipated Award: December 5, 2023 River Ridge Middle/High School: The work will consist of removing the existing fire alarm system and replacing it with an updated, voice evacuation system. Work performed MUST follow the following standard: NFPA 72: 2019 Edition. Safety shall always be a prime concern of the awarded vendor, whose responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Remove existing fire alarm system. o Install new voice evacuation system. o New fire alarm system MUST be able to monitor newly installed Fire Pump. o The awarded vendor: o MUST be a fire alarm system contractor through the State Fire Marshal's office and/or a certified electrical contractor. o MUST provide a physical and digital Specification Book that lists all the newly installed devices. o MUST provide Professional Engineer signed and stamped drawings and submit to the District's Fire Official, Thomas Rutledge. o Will be responsible for obtaining permits through the District's Construction Services Department. o Will be responsible for coordinating electrical inspections through the District's Construction Services Department. o Will be responsible for coordinating a final fire alarm inspection with the District's Fire Official(s): Thomas Rutledge and/or Steve Skinner.
