The new building will serve as a new entry into Centre Block for visitors and expand the space for parliamentarians whilst blending seamlessly with the heritage buildings currently on Parliament Hill. The Scope of Services of this prequalification package is for excavation and backfill works associated with the Parliament Welcome Centre. The scope includes, but is not limited to the following: PCL/ED reserves the right to verify any information provided in the IPP and those unverified statements may result in 0 points for the IPP being awarded to the bidder. PCL/ED will therefore have to declare the bid non-responsive. Submission of detailed methodology of excavation and backfill works Design, supply and installation of temporary shoring Overburden Removal and Disposal Selective Site Preparation and Demolition Line Drilling and Wire Sawing Rock Excavation (mechanical excavation and blasting) Rock Stabilization including but not limited to the installation of rock bolts, tieback anchors, wire mesh, shotcrete, etc. Management of ground vibrations from excavation activities Groundwater Management and Dewatering Tracking Reuse of Excavated Materials Dust Protection of excavated areas as required Backfilling including but not limited to under slab, foundation walls, underground services, etc. Reuse of on-site granular material including remixing as required to satisfy specifications Supply and Installation of under slab and perimeter drainage Coordination with other subcontractors for backfill including but not limited to waterproofing subcontractor, formwork subcontractor, geo-exchange subcontractor, etc. Miscellaneous siteworks Please advise of your intent to submit a Statement of Qualification, and confirmation that your firm meets all the eligibility requirements as set out in 3.0, in response to this RFQ by email to the contact noted at 2.3.2 before 2:00:00 PM, Ottawa local time, October 13, 2023.
