University of Guelph Campus Master Plan With the recent approval of the University of Guelph's Our Time: Strategic Plan, the University is embarking on significant initiatives that will propel the University forward in alignment with those strategic priorities. One of these initiatives is an updated and refreshed Campus Master Plan (CMP). A thoughtful and planful approach is being taken to ensure that our new CMP is holistic and visionary. The new CMP will not only include our core campus, but also our real estate assets, student housing assets and the perimeter of campus. The CMP will be informed by the following: 1. Climate Action Plan 2. Design And Construction Standards Refresh 3. Accessibility Plan 4. Deferred Capital Renewal And Major Maintenance Plan 5. Real Estate Development Plan 6. Student Housing Strategy Expectations The updated CMP will consider both the University's core property/ campus together with perimeter properties that are currently University-owned and Real Estate Division-managed together with non-owned properties that may be of significance/ benefit towards advancing the University's strategies. This planning effort aims to develop a comprehensive and strategic framework plan with an economical mindset to guide future decisions regarding land use, buildings, and facilities to support the institution's strategic academic and operational plans. The updated plan will take a longer-term 10-year planning horizon and measure the planning outcomes at least every five years to continuously align educational and operational plans with the overall strategic plan. The plan will form an updated framework that guides the most efficient use of resources, while setting the foundation required to build the University of Guelph of the future. Respondents will have access to and will reference existing building facility condition data and space utilization data with their own extensive evaluation of space to provide a balanced assessment of a facility's ability to effectively support goals and functions. Respondents will explore overall campus and facilities utilization and what opportunities are provided through a hybrid teaching/ learning environment and will identify opportunities presented by adaptive reuse and decommissioning of buildings where appropriate. It is the University's intention to enter into the agreement with one (1) legal entity. The top-ranked proponent at the conclusion of evaluation will be invited to enter into negotiations for an agreement with the University.
