This contract shall provide for the construction of a reinforced concrete foundation for a diesel storage tank at the City's Prison Ground Storage site located on US69 south on the southeast section of the City of Beaumont. B. WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED Contractor shall coordinate with City personnel prior to commencing work. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with the guidelines and procedures set forth within the Contract Specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Construct a reinforced concrete foundation and slab. 2. Install an Owner supplied diesel storage tank. The tank is 17ft-5in long by 8ft in diameter, with a capacity of 6,000 gallons and approximate weight of 11,400 pounds. C. WARRANTY AND CLEANUP The Contractor shall provide a warranty to the Owner for a period of one (1) year from the date of final inspection and acceptance to the extent that he will repair any defects which may appear in the structure. D. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. The Contractor shall pay close attention to the project schedule to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner. 2. The Contractor shall restore the construction sites to their original condition or better. 3. Contractor shall coordinate work with City staff prior to starting construction. 4. The Contractor shall provide all safety measures while performing the work. 5. The Contractor shall complete the City of Beaumont Water Utility Service Agreement for Fire Hydrant Construction Meters. 6. You may obtain the list of City certified MBE contractors from the following: If you have any questions concerning the inclusion of MBE's in City bids, please call the Purchasing Division. Bidders must submit an original Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Certified Check or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank satisfactory to the Owner, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beaumont in an amount not less than five (5) percent ofthe largest possible bid amount as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into contract and execute bond and guaranty in the form provided within fourteen (14) calendar days after date of Notice of Award of the contract.
