Reference Number 0000331944 This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to invite qualified Consultants to submit proposals for completing assessment of existing conditions, preparing a Preliminary Design Report, preparing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (Construction Documents) and providing bidding and construction support for the Water Treatment Plant Filter Upgrades Project. The objective of this RFP is to seek the services of a qualified Engineering Consultant to: 1) Review and assess eight existing City of Poway water filters by: evaluating the condition of all filters, including media evaluations, sludge retention profiles, pre-load and surface wash operational evaluation, to determine why they are under-performing. 2) Identify any adjacent appurtenances in need of replacement: including but not limited to valves, actuators, piping, and sluice inlet. 3) Prepare a Preliminary Design Report, which includes Probable Costs; 4) Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (construction contract documents). 5) Provide bidding and construction support.
