This project is to remove asbestos from the locomotive boiler located at 200 East Lauridsen Boulevard, Port Angeles, WA 98362. Project estimate: $43,000 to $50,000 The Project Manager for this project is: Tim Tucker. For any questions or to arrange a site visit, please make contact by email at contracts@cityofpa.us. Any questions bidders have with regard to the Statement of Work shall be submitted in writing to the Project Manager, at contracts@cityofpa.us. No responses will be provided for questions submitted after close of business (5:00 PM, PDT) on the Thursday preceding the bid opening date. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond to the City of Port Angeles for a sum of not less than 5% of the amount of the bid, and no bid will be considered unless accompanied by such bid deposit. In addition, the bidder shall submit a copy of a valid certificate of registration in compliance with 18.27 RCW. The Bid Security form is attached. A performance and payment bond, and retainage will not be required for this work if the total bid amount including tax is less than or equal to $35,000. However, the City shall have the right of recovery against the Contractor for any payments made on the Contractor's behalf. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids.
