Sealed bid proposals will be received for the HVAC System Replacement at the Dennis Technical Education Center, Main Building located at 3324 S. Milwaukee Street. Boise Idaho 83709. Bids must be on the bid form and accompanied by a bid bond, with an Idaho State Licensed Surety Company, in the amount of not less than 5% of the total bid amount made payable to: Independent School District of Boise. The bid security is to become the property of the Owner in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth, as liquidated damages for the delay and additional expense to the Owner caused thereby. Said work falls under the Davis-Bacon Act. The contractor shall supply the Boise Independent School District with certified payroll documentation. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts apply to contractors and subcontractors performing construction, alteration, or repair with federally funded or assisted contracts in excess of $2,000. Davis-Bacon Act and Related Act contractors and subcontractors must pay their laborers and mechanics employed under the contract no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits for corresponding work on similar projects in the area. The Davis-Bacon Act directs the Department of Labor to determine such locally prevailing wage rates. The successful Contractor shall carry out his employment practices and payment of wages according to the provisions of an act known as "Public Works Title 44, Chapter 10, Sections 44-1001 through 44-1006 inclusive, Idaho Code Amended" and shall comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity provisions as defined in the code of respective Federal Regulations. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount will be required within 10 days after receipt of a properly prepared Agreement between the Owner and the Contractor. Cost of bonds shall be included in contractor's bid amount. Contractors shall be licensed in the State of Idaho in accordance with the provisions of the Idaho Public Works Contractors' State License Law. The Owner reserves the right to disregard all non-conforming, non- responsive or conditional bids, to waive any minor informality/irregularity, to reject all bids, or to accept the bid or bids it deems best.
