The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Disconnection, removal and off-site disposal of existing tenant panels, their feeders, and breakers in meter centers feeding those panels as per contract drawings and specifications. 2. Furnish and install new ground wires to meter centers per contract drawings and specifications. 3. Furnish and install grounding system per contract drawings and specifications. 4. General Contractor shall be responsible for all plan review, permit and required acceptance testing fees. 5. The General Contractor shall submit for, and pay for all required permits, and inspections required for the permitting construction of this project. CONTRACT DESCRIPTION 1. Work will be performed by a Single Prime General Contractor under a single stipulated lump sum contract. 2. Cost of delays because of non-availability of specified items, when such delays could have been avoided by the Prime Contractor's timely ordering of said specified items shall not be considered for an addition to the contract sum. 3. Any additional cost associated with said delays, will be AT THE EXPENSE of the Prime Contractor and at NO ADDITIONAL COST to the Owner. 4. Time of Completion of Work: The total project shall consist of a time period of 270 days, beginning immediately from the date stipulated in the "Notice to Proceed". The Prime Contractor will be expected to utilize whatever manpower is required to meet the completion date and maintain the project schedule at all times, including Punch List and Project Closeout. The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) shall receive bids for Electrical Service Upgrades at Crestview Apartments. Each bid must be accompanied by a properly executed Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check on a solvent bank, made payable to the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority in an amount which shall not be less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, as amended. CMHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of CMHA. Bids shall be firm and cannot be withdrawn for a period of 120 calendar days, subsequent to the opening of bids, without the consent of CMHA. CMHA is a Political Subdivision of the State of Ohio and is exempt from all taxes.
