Questions concerning this RFB must be submitted in writing to Chuck Heshion Chairman, Rockland Sewer Commission, 587R Summer Street, Rockland, MA, or via email at cheshion@rockland-ma.gov, Subject Line should read, Injector Pump Station Upgrade Question, at least seven (7) business days prior to the Bid opening date The duplex pneumatic ejector station consist of (2) 50-gallon pots that fill with influent raw sewage. Once filled, the sewage activates the sewage receiver probe, which in turn activates a 3-way mechanical solenoid allowing pressurized air to eject the sewage into the force main. The Rockland Board of Sewer Commissioners, acting with the Town of Rockland's Procurement Officer, is seeking sealed bids to convert our existing Ejector Pump Station to a submersible wet well. Bids are to include submersible pumps with transducer level controls and back-up floats. Bidders are responsible for any by-pass pumping as needed for the duration of the project. The existing Pump Station is located at 76 Spruce Street Rockland, Massachusetts 02370. The bidding and award of the contract shall be in full compliance with M.G.L. chapter 30, section 39M. The Rockland Board of Sewer Commissioners reserves the right to reject any/all bids.
