Western Massachusetts Emergency Communications District (WESTCOMM) requests General and Filed Sub-Bidder Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) Forms for the Regional Emergency Communications Center project for the following categories of work: General Building Construction Masonry Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron Waterproofing, Damp-proofing and Caulking Roofing and Flashing Metal Windows Glass and Glazing Tile Acoustical Tile Resilient Floors Painting Elevators Fire Protection Plumbing Heating, Ventilation Air-Conditioning Electrical The Western Massachusetts Emergency Communications District requests that qualified and experienced General Bidders and Filed Sub-Bidders. The work includes major renovations to the existing 3-story building, approximately 16,500 SF, to function as a Regional Emergency Communications Center that services the Western Massachusetts Emergency Communications District in Chicopee, MA. construction duration is approximately twelve (12) to fourteen (14) months from the Notice to Proceed This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in M.G.L. Chapter 149 and 810 CMR 9.00 and 10.00. The Western Massachusetts Emergency Communications District, acting through its Prequalification Committee, is pre-qualifying firms interested in providing public General and Filed Sub-Contractor services on this Public Project through this RFQ process. Information on the prequalification process, evaluation format, and evaluation criteria are provided in the RFQ. Only pre-qualified firms will be permitted to submit bids for the category of work in which they were pre-qualified. In Phase II, the prequalified respondents will be invited to submit bids in response to an RFP. However, anyone wishing to schedule a walkthrough may do so by written request via email.
