Construction, furnishing all material, labor, and equipment under a unit price contract for the following, to wit: Replacement of the existing structure on McLean Mill Road over Bid Darby Creek with a new three span prestressed concrete I beam structure including widening and reconstruction of the approach roadway, grading, and drainage along McLean Mill Road (TR127) and other work all in accordance with the plans, specifications, and bid documents. Each proposal shall also be accompanied by a bid guaranty given in favor of Pickaway County, Circleville, Ohio. The bid guaranty shall be either a bid bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, on any solvent bank for an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid bond and payable to the order of the Pickaway County Commissioners, Circleville, Ohio. If the bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance of his proposal, the bidder shall forfeit to Pickaway County his bid bond. The bid bonds of unsuccessful bidders shall be canceled and returned. Contractors shall use only the classifications and wage rates set forth in the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) wage decision found at website noted below on payrolls submitted to the District Office. Additionally, please note that the wage modification in effect at the time of the project sale date, shall be used by all contractors. This USDOL wage decision may be viewed, by accessing the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) All Bidders shall submit a DBE Utilization Plan at the time of bid setting forth specific information demonstrating how the Bidder will achieve the DBE goal. By submitting a DBE Utilization Plan, the Bidder is affirming that they will be using the DBE firms identified in the Utilization Plan to meet the DBE contract goal. The DBE Utilization Plan shall be submitted with Form stack at time of bid submission. Any bids received without electronic submission of the DBE Utilization Plan at or before bid time, will be deemed unresponsive. DBE Goal: 10%. All bidders shall be prequalified with ODOT for project work type. The Board of County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids. . All work to be completed by November 1, 2024.
