**As of October 26, 2023, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $508,685.89** Sherman Avenue, Glenridge Avenue, and Argyle Street - 2022 Road Improvement Program. The work to be performed includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. The major work to be performed under the base bid of the contract includes the installation of approximately 9,221 square yards of milling; 951 linear feet of 9"X18" concrete curbing; 20 linear feet of Belgian block curbing; 70 square yards of 6-inch thick reinforced concrete sidewalk, 470 square yards of pavement repair; 80 tons of hot mix asphalt intermediate course; 1,082 tons of hot mix asphalt surface course; ADA ramp installation; the installation of a stormwater conveyance system along Sherman Avenue, approximately 31 square yards of cobblestone gutter on Argyle Street, and other incidental work. Please be advised that project is funded in part by both Community Development Block Grant funds and New Jersey Department of Transportation municipal aid funds. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. N.J.A.C. 17:27 and the requirements of P.L. 1975 c. 127 (Affirmative Action). Bidders shall also comply with P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage) and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.). Bidders are required to comply with Executive Order #34 (1976) debarred vendors. Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids or any or all items in the proposal; to increase or decrease or eliminate such items as may be necessary for the adoption of any alternate; to accept that one which, in its judgment, best serves its interest; to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. Such inquiries or notices shall be in writing and shall be received by the Engineer at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, weekends and holidays excepted.
