The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Security Alarm System Installation Services. Bids must address all of the services described in Exhibit A entitled, Scope of Work that is included in the Proposed Agreement Forms/Exhibits section of this IFB. Exhibit A contains a detailed description of the services and work to be performed as a result of this IFB including those terms in the referenced exhibits. Questions Due October 27, 2023 at 5:00 p.m Security System Installation A. Install security alarm system in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association - (NFPA) 72, latest edition adopted by the State of California. B. Contractor will install six (6) Alarm Panels at each entrance to building. C. Contractor will install two (2) interior motion sensors in various location inside the office as identified during the bid walk. D. Contractor to install twenty-two (22) motion sensors on windows (1 per window) including the scale head. E. Contractor to install eight (8) exterior motion beam sensors to cover each bay door as identified during the bid walk (entrances and exits). F. Document and provide a list of the make, model and serial number of security and fire alarm equipment to Facilities Analyst. G. Contractor shall not lock-out system and system shall not be proprietary. 7. Alarm Monitoring A. Provide 24-hour monitoring of security alarm system through Underwriter Laboratory (UL) listed central monitoring station. B. Maintain UL certification of security alarm system in accordance with the NFPA 72, latest edition adopted by the State of California. C. Replace system batteries annually (cost to be included in monthly service fee). D. Document and provide a list of the make, model and serial number of security alarm equipment to Headquarters' Facilities Analyst. E. Provide annual testing of the security alarm system, including all devices. Test results to be sent to the on-site Facilities Coordinator as well as Coastal Division Analyst, Headquarters' Facilities Analyst at 601 North 7 th Street, Building B, Sacramento, CA 95811. F. Annually check all sensors and battery back-up. G. Contractor shall not lock-out system
