BSI Constructors is the General Contractor for the construction of the St. Louis Community College, Wildwood Campus Expansion. The campus expansion consists of the construction of a new 140,000sf, 4 story building for SLCC's Health Studies and Technology Studies programs. The building consists of classrooms, offices, meeting space, and medical, science and technology labs. Questions during the bidding should be submitted via e-mail as follows: General questions (drawings, bid dates, etc.) to Kelly Swanson-Koester (kellys@bsistl.com). Technical questions to Peter Boudoures (peterb@bsistl.com). Questions about the bidding process will be addressed by BSI. Technical questions will be forwarded to the design team for responses which will be included in an addendum. Do not contact the Owner or design team directly. This project intends to achieve LEED(TM) Certified status. BSI Constructors and/or the Owner may require a 100% Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of the contract price on a form acceptable to BSI. The Surety company must be acceptable to both BSI and the Owner and have a "Best Guide" rating of "A" or better. The bond cost should not be included in the base bid amount. The additional cost, as a percentage, for the bond shall be identified with the proposal. Bidders will also need to identify their aggregate bonding capacity and the availability of bonding capacity to bond this project. BSI Constructors and the Owner will take into consideration the price, the completeness of the bidder's submittal, the bidder's skill, ability, responsibility, experience, capacity, financial strength, M/WBE participation, schedule, efficiency, and any other factors deemed appropriate when making the contract awards. Successful bidders will be offered a BSI subcontract. A copy will be available upon request. No alterations to the subcontract will be allowed. Each subcontractor will be bound to the same terms that the Owner has required of BSI in the Owner-BSI contract agreement.
