Provide services to reclaim, grade and pave Crane Hollow Road in Bethlehem. The contractor is responsible to provide supervision and coordination services and supply all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals to perform reclamation, grading, and paving in accordance with the following Scope of Work and Bid Specifications. This work shall be performed on Crane Hollow Road in the Town of Bethlehem, in accordance with State of Connecticut DOT specifications for Roads, Bridges and Incidental Construction. Reclaiming, Grading and Compacting approximately 23,309 Square Feet (Contractor shall field determine this amount based on their own measurements.) Every effort will be made to keep the final grade similar. Road surface to rest for a period of one week up to but not past two weeks to allow for settling and compaction prior to final grading and paving. Contractor will perform fine grading and site preparation for vibratory rolling and paving. Contractor shall compact the surface using a vibratory roller (10-12 ton). Road Surface will consist of 2 courses: (Contractor shall field determine this amount based on their own measurements.) 1 Vz Binder course of HMA .5 Superpave Asphalt o 1 Vz Wearing course of HMA .375 Superpave Asphalt o All thickness of paving are for post compaction and shall be field verified. Driveway aprons will be maintained by Bethlehem Public Works. Finish work, back filling of road edges with screened loam and grass seed, covered with straw for erosion control, shall be performed by the contractor. Asphalt delivery - provide adequate trucking to haul asphalt from asphalt plant to the project site so as not to impede the proper application of the material. o Asphalt application - provide a minimum of one (1 ) power paver capable of applying an eight-foot (8') minimum width in a single pass. o Asphalt compaction - provide a minimum of one (1) ten to twelve (10-12) ton vibratory steel drum asphalt roller. o Water tank - provide a minimum of one (1 ) water tank adequate to supply water to roller equipment. o Water Truck - provide a minimum of one (1) water truck adequate to provide dust control and proper compaction. o Miscellaneous - provide all necessary hand tools, including but not limited to, rakes, shovels, and plate compactors.
