Remove and replace Greek Theater main entry plaza in total. Save existing cobbles for replacement in new concrete plaza. Grade, compact and install new concrete in plaza within a 2% tolerances to maintain ADA access compliance. Remove and replace existing curb and gutter along Gayley road as per the contract documents. Cut, grind or flatten existing cobbles to maintain less than 3/8" elevation difference when reinstalling in new slab. BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS: To allow the University to evaluate bidders, each bidder must submit with its bid, a Contractor's Special Statement of Experience. This Contractor's Special Statement of Experience must be provided on the Contractors letterhead. If your firm provides inaccurate or incomplete information your firm will be found non-responsive. If your firm receives negative project references they may be found non-responsive. To be eligible for consideration of award, the Contractor's Special Statement of Experience must include: 1. Documentation that the bidder has successfully completed the following: a. A minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) comparable large plaza or flat work scope projects, with a construction value of $700,000 or greater, completed in the past seven (7) years that demonstrate the bidders ability to successfully complete the project with respect to project size, cost, use, complexity, etc. DO NOT include projects currently under construction. b. All submitted projects must be within the immediate nine Bay Area counties. 2. Include the following for each project: (a) project name, (b) project address, (c) owners name, (d) contract value at award, (e) total Change Order value, (f) completion date, (g) Owner's Representative email address and current phone number and (h) brief scope. 3. All projects on all UC Campuses and National Labs (LBNL, LLNL) within the last 5 years. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractors license at the time of submission of the Bid: A - General Engineering Contractor Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
