The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Ferry Lake Road at New River Church Road Intersection Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of 12-inch watermain relocation, 6-inch-high pressure natural gas main relocation, widening, grading, drainage pipe and storm drain box improvements, curb and gutter, roadway base, asphalt, traffic signal installation, erosion and sedimentation control and all associated measures for the complete project. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 180 consecutive calendar day construction schedule. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor. All water and natural gas main work shall be performed by a licensed Utility Contractor by the State of Georgia. Both license numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
