The Sulphur Springs Union School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, will receive sealed bids for Sulphur Springs Union School District Project No. 2023-09-PTVV HVAC Replacement Project at two separate school sites, Pinetree Community School and Valley View Community School. Interested bidders should register for the bid by sending an email communication to jrandall@sssd.k12.ca.us with a copy to rlopez@sssd.k12.ca.us indicating interest in bidding on the project. This will ensure that you receive all communications and addenda regarding the project. The communication should be received no later than 5:00 PM on October 18, 2023. Pre-Bid Requests for Information: Pre-Bid RFIs must be received by no later than 5:00 PM on October 18, 2023 via electronic communication to jrandall@sssd.k12.ca.us with copy to rlopez@sssd.k12.ca.us Pre-Qualification: All Contractors must be registered and Pre-Qualified through the Department of Industrial Relations prequalification process. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashiers check, or bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to DISTRICT as a guarantee that Bidder, if its proposal is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, furnish a Payment Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and furnish certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the General Conditions. In the event the successful Bidder fails to enter into the Contract and execute the required documents, such bid security will be forfeited. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and effect through the guarantee period as specified in the General Conditions. Pinetree Community School Furnish and replace the following Air Conditioning Units with Carrier Units: (18) 3.5 Ton Heat Pump Split Systems (4) 2 Ton Heat Pump Roof Top Units (2) 15 Ton Heat Pump Roof Top Units (with adapter curbs) All units will be replaced like for like with regards to heating & cooling capacity along with voltage All units will be reconnected to existing drain lines, electrical and thermostat control wiring. New electrical service disconnects and fuses will be provided. All split system line sets will be flushed and reused, includes evacuation and topping off charge. Air handler secondary drain pans will be reused. Condensing unit platform covers will be replaced. Provide Factory Startup to verify proper operation of new equipment. Valley View Community School Furnish and replace the following Air Conditioning Units: (8) 5 Ton Roof Top A/C Units All units will be replaced like for like with regards to heating & cooling capacity along with voltage. All units will be reconnected to existing drain lines, electrical and thermostat control wiring. New electrical service disconnects and fuses will be provided.
