The scope of work consists of an erosion assessment and stabilization of approximately 1,370 linear feet of shoreline along Stewart Creek Park. Drainage and erosion control improvements provided along the length of the project. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, 1,410 SY of 12-inch rock riprap, 325 SF of 6-inch concrete pavement steps (shoreline access), 85 SY of decomposed granite natural path (shoreline access), 620 SF of retaining wall (shoreline access), and 12,800 SF of Hydro Turf. The opinion of probable construction cost for the overall project is $824,000.00. All of the above done in accordance with TxDOT and NCTCOG specifications with the City of the Colony's Addenda and as per instructions of the City of The Colony City Engineer. All construction sequencing and barricading done according to the City of The Colony Standards. The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a part generally described. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of amount bid from a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, within fifteen (15) days of the bid award. The bidder must submit, five days prior to bid opening, proof of insurance and bid bond in the form of a Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount to the City of the Colony purchasing manager The winning bidder, upon City acceptance, will be required to provide the City with a minimum two (2) year maintenance bond. The maintenance bond shall be in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or ten (10%) percent of the amount of the contract, whichever is greater, but not to exceed one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount. The City of The Colony reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept the bid which, in its discretion, is in the best interest of the City of The Colony
