The Giles County Board of Supervisors is hereby soliciting proposals for the paving of Shumate Falls Road in Glen Lyn, Virginia. The project timeline is Fall of 2023, and is to be completed by the end of the 2023 paving season. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to decline the award to any or all Proposers. The submission of a proposal does not by implication or expression commit the Board to enter into an agreement with that Proposer, or any other Proposer. No agreement shall occur until a resolution formally approving such agreement has been enacted by the Board and a written contract has been executed. This is a federally assisted project. Bidders and contractors performing work under this advertisement are bound by the requirements of Presidents Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 109 of Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; the Davis Bacon Act; the Copeland Anti Kickback Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act; and Public Law 100 202. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
