Sealed Bids Will Be received for: Wichita Transit Department Remove and Install New Four Post Lift. Any questions may be submitted in writing to Jason Brogden jbrogden@wichita.gov no later than 3:00pm October 6, 2023. Questions must be submitted via email, and they will be answered through an addendum made available to all interested parties. Performance Bond Forms, Included in the Bid Package Are to Be Used, in the Amount of One Hundred Per Cent (100%) of the Contract Must Be Furnished by the Successful Vendor. A Labor & Material Payment Bond Forms, Included in the Bid Package Are to Be Used, Running to the State of Kansas in a Sum of Not Less Than the Total of the Contract, Must Be Furnished by the Successful Vendor. The City of Wichita is the largest city in the state of Kansas and lies within Sedgwick County as the most populous city in the region. The City of Wichita employs approximately 3,100 employees providing a full range of municipal services, including police and fire protection, parks and recreation programs, libraries, public housing, municipal transportation, airports, water and sewer utilities, general administration, and other services. The Council members and the Mayor serve four-year terms overlapping. The Council and Mayor establish general policies, which are executed by the City Manager. The City of Wichita is soliciting request for bids from vendors and/or firms for goods/service for the Department. The city reserves the right to award all, some, or none of the goods/services set forth in this Request for Bid (RFB) to any one proposer based on the city's review and assessment of the bids meeting the criteria/specifications set forth herein Minimum Specifications for Current Model Four Post Lift to Include Removal of Old and Installation of New The Equipment Supplied to Meet this Specification must be Current Standard Production, New and Unused, Substantiated by Current Published Literature and Price Sheets. This is a Project that Includes the Removal of the Old Equipment, the Purchase of a New Lift, and the Installation The Successful Bidder must be a Service Facility or have Access to One that is Staffed by Qualified Employees with an Adequate Inventory of Parts for the Repair and Service of Equipment. The Successful Bidder must Respond within 48 Hours of Notification and Provide Parts and Repairs within Ten Working Days. Units Bid must Meet or Exceed Industry or S.A.E. Standard. Standards Used by Societies that are not Members of the American National Standards Institute will not be Accepted. The Following Units are Indicative of the Type Lift Sought in this Bid Invitation: PK 40-4DT MOHAWK TR-50 Other Lifts by Other Manufactures, which Meet the Following Technical Specifications, are also Eligible but must be Approved by the Transpiration Department Before the Award of this Bid. Vendors need to Provide Current Literature and Technical Specifications for Evaluation Process. The City will Determine the Acceptability of the Equivalent Equipment.
