The Project includes the following Work: Installation of approximately 1165 lineal feet of 14-inch SDR 21 PVC water main, 305 lineal feet of 10-inch SDR 21 PVC water main, and 795 lineal feet of 8-inch SDR 21 PVC water main. Approximately 330 lineal feet of the 14-inch main will be installed by jack and bore in a 24-inch steel casing under SR 66 and approximately 200 lineal feet of the 14-inch main will be installed by horizontal directional drill under Epworth Road. Installation of one 6-inch tapping sleeve and valve, two 8-inch tapping sleeves and valves, one 10-inch tapping sleeve and valve, one 14-inch tapping sleeve and valve, and 4 line stops. HMA pavement and sidewalk repair, erosion control, restoration, and all other work required to provide a complete project. Bids are requested for a single prime Contract. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bid security, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office's website as "zipped" portable document format (PDF) files. The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
