Grant Funded Miscellaneous Construction/Renovation Services. The successful Contractor(s) may be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond (each equal to 100% of the job cost) when any one project exceeds $100,000 in value. Knox County and/or Knox County Schools reserve the right to require a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond on any project regardless of the value of the project. The bonds will be returned upon the successful and satisfactory completion of the project. Estimates shall include but not be limited to the cost of labor, material, a detailed description of the scope of work, inspection services, and any required subcontracted services. Quotes shall remain firm for thirty (30) days from acceptance by Knox County. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and shall provide the necessary protection to prevent injury to, all employees on the work site and other persons including but not limited to, the general public who may be affected thereby. Knox County reserves the right to reject any or all items or services not in conformance with applicable specifications, and Contractor assumes the costs associated with such nonconformance.
