The Board of Education, Norridge School District 80, Norridge, Cook County, Illinois, hereinafter known as Owner, is seeking bids for 2023 Interior Renovations of 2 existing classrooms into administrative offices including offices, conference, ADA toilet at Leigh elementary schools located in Norridge, Illinois. This is winter/spring construction . Separate bid packages include: A) Electrical, B) Carpentry, Act, Carpentry, C) Mechanical Installation The Board of Education, Norridge School District 80 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Owner. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing rate of wage to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on public funded projects. Certificate of Insurance, 10% bid bond or check, will be required from the successful bidder. District performed background checks will be required for all on site personnel. In order to familiarize themselves with the project, which will be attended by both the Owner and the Architect. This will be the only time that contractors will be allowed access to the project site. For questions contact Pat Rossi at prossi@norridge80.net Board of Education Norridge School District The work of the Project shall include all labor, material, and equipment to provide complete installation of all work including all code required devices and functions that may not specifically be indicated in this Project Manual. 1. The work includes (not to be taken as a complete description or extent of the work) as follows: a. ELECTRICAL - Scope to include as shown on plans and spec including but not limited to power to the VAV's, RTU., installation of lights and light control switches and power packs and light fixtures will be purchased and supplied by the district. Note the district will demo out the existing light fixtures. Provide and install all electrical devices, wiring, branch circuitry, conduits, wiring, exit signs, low voltage cabling and terminations. Do not include the fire alarm system / clocks, call buttons but do include all the back boxes and conduits for this work. Fox Valley and ITR equipment will be purchased by the District. b. MECHANICAL - Scope of work as shown on plans and specs including but not limited to demo and installation of ductwork and installation of owner-purchased VAV boxes, one RTU and controls also purchased by owner from Trane. Provide and install all diffusers and accessories. Test and balance upon completion. This package will also include the steel support work for the RTU, as well as the roof curb and roof cutting and patching. Note this also includes the ductwork that will supply the cafe on the lower level. c. CARPENTRY /GYP/ ACT - Scope of work to include all work on drawings and spec's but not limited to studs, insulation, gypsum board finish ready to paint, ceiling grid and tiles, provide and install door frames and hardware. Keying and door latch sets will be provided by the school district for your installation. Do not include masonry work, painting, flooring, the district will demo the existing ceiling grid and tiles.
