James Lick Middle School Auditorium Alterations, The Project is generally described as, but not limited to the following Items Demolition and replacement of stage rigging and drapes Updating theatrical, electrical, audio-visual equipment and lighting systems Installation of lighting controls Construction of an audio-visual control workstation booth at the rear of house seating Salvage portions of existing seating for repair and maintenance stock Refinishing existing wood stage floor. g. Conversion of existing dressing room to stage wing storage h. Modification of existing fire sprinkler lines to suit new stage rigging set-up i. Installation of an automated projection screen with overhead video projector. j. Miscellaneous interior alterations in Classroom 236 as "green room". Contractors License Classification. In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code 3300, the District requires that Bidders possess the following classification(s) of California Contractors License at the time that the Bid Proposals are opened: Class B, General Building Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification or Sub- Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification performing the work. Any Bidder not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding.
