This project involves labor and materials for old plaster removal, pool surface preparation, re-plastering, and tiling (specify product, e.g., Diamond Brite or equivalent). The Pool Plaster Contractor must independently verify pool measurements, surface area, and interior dimensions, rather than relying on City of Bangor-provided dimensions or drawings. Tiles will be added to transition areas based on the recommendations of the contractors. Alternate bid options encompass evaluating the pool's surrounding decking, assessing the circulation piping, and offering a cost estimate for necessary repairs and fixes to the piping. Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov no later than 4:30 P.M., Friday, October 6, 2023. The City of Bangor retains the authority to reject any proposals, overlook minor irregularities or defects, or accept a higher-cost proposal if it's in the best interest of the City. Additionally, the City may engage in negotiations with the successful Proposer. The City will provide a response no later than 4:30 P.M. on Friday, October 13, 2023.
