Coastal construction services for the construction of five nearshore segmented breakwaters and one angled terminal groin in Sargent Beach, Texas (the "Project"). The breakwaters are 400 feet long and spaced 660 feet apart in 4 feet depth of water. The angled terminal groin at the inlet extends to a water depth of 8 feet. The Project site is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Freeport, in Matagorda County. The project area is bordered by the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway ("GIWW"), the Gulf of Mexico, and Mitchell's cut. The goal of the project is to reduce beach erosion along Sargent Beach and the Matagorda Peninsula by stabilizing Sargent Beach and protecting the adjacent GIWW from erosional breaching.
