Bids will be accepted for the removal of the existing structure and replacement of a concrete box culvert with a bridge on Stratton Road. All debris must be removed from job site. o The size of the replacement bridge deck shall be 16'x 25' with 7 foot walls at a 45 degree right hand skew - single span (NO CENTER PIERS) o New structure shall be constructed of ASTM A588 Weathering Steel with open grid deck. Must include guardrail approved by the Kentucky Department of Transportation. o Bridge must be AASHTO approved o Bridge must be adequate to carry HS 20-44 Loading o Must meet all Kentucky Load and Engineering Requirements o New bridge must maintain existing clearance to maintain water flow o Walls must be 30 inches with 10 inch mud walls and 12 inch wing walls constructed of Class A concrete. o All walls must be set on efficient footers. o Footers must be set at a minimum of 24 inches below bedrock or approved by the County Road Foreman. o Two rows of 1/2 inch steel must be installed every 12 inches vertically and horizontally along the entire length of the walls. Replacement of a bridge on Stratton Road in Harrison County The Court reserves the right to accept or reject any/or all bids.
