The basic services to be provided by CONTRACTOR under Section 1. Basic Services are as follows 1.1.1 Performance and completion of the construction work included in the CITY'S Request for Bids for construction services for the PROJECT to which the CONTRACTOR prepared and submitted its PROPOSAL, on which this Agreement is based. 1.2 The scope of work for any Section 2. Optional Services of the CONTRACTOR, if and when determined by the CITY to be necessary, shall be determined upon receipt of an approved scope and work task breakdown the CONTRACTOR and upon written authorization from the CITY to proceed with the optional services. Each bid for each project must be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of 10% of the bid or a 100% Bid Bond, the same being payable to the City of North Olmsted as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and a Performance Bond satisfactory to said municipality in an amount equal to 100% of the total bid will be furnished. The deposit of the successful bidder will be retained until the Contract is properly executed and delivered. Deposits of all unsuccessful bidders will be returned following the award. The City reserves the right to accept all or any part of any bid and to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept any bid, or combination of bids, which it deems lowest and best. Bidders must be a Registered Bidder of record with the City in order for their bid to be considered. The City of North Olmsted is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against the physically impaired. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Cuyahoga County and the City of North Olmsted as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services.
