SCOPE OF WORK The City of Easley is soliciting sealed and competitive REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS from qualified contractors for the West End Hall Parking Area Project. The work under this contract will include construction of a parking facility located at 205 South 5th Street and will include the demolition of an existing dwelling, removal of wall and concrete and approximately 1900 SY of asphalt paving. No proposal will be accepted from a contractor who is not currently licensed as applicable, by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Contractors License Board, in accordance with Title 40, Chapter 11 of the Code of Law of South Carolina, and has a current South Carolina General Contractors License. Requirements may be obtained at www.llr.state.sc.us. If this requirement is not met, your proposal will be disqualified and rejected. The last day for questions guaranteeing an answer will be October 9th, 2023, at 5:00pm. An addendum with questions and responses will be issued after the deadline prior to the proposal opening. Submitters are required to submit questions via email to mdipietro@cityofeasley.com. The City of Easley will respond to all questions submitted by the above-mentioned date no later than October 12th, 2023, at 5:00pm. The City of Easley reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any informalities in the proposal ding. The completion time for this project is 120 consecutive days to begin on the date designated on the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages: $300.00 per day The submitter shall have all required and valid Contractor s license at the time of the Proposal to Proposal and perform work in the State of South Carolina. The limits of such licenses must be equal to or greater than the work on which a Proposal is submitted. The Submitter and Contractors license number is to be included in the proposal documents.
