The Work is generally described as follows: The construction of 5,230 linear feet of 24-inch PVC (AWWA C900, DR-18, Purple) or Ductile Iron (AWWA C151/A21.50, PC 200) pipe. The reuse pipeline includes open cut and trenchless bore. The pipe alignment is located adjacent to the future extension of Hillcrest Road between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway. A TXDOT bore crossing across Main Street is included. Question Deadline 10/04/2023 at 4:00 PM CT Electronic Submission. Bidders must submit with their bids a cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to the OWNER or a Bid Bond in the same amount from an approved Surety Company as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract is issued to him or her. The successful Bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas, to act as Surety. Bidder agrees to complete the Work in full within two-hundred and ten (210) calendar days. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price of the bids, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bid. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause of rejection of any bid or bids.
