OPWDD's Capital District DDSO is looking to obtain bids for Abatement of A.C.M. per the attached scope of work. Any questions or requests for clarification regarding the information provided may be directed to Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov This project is regarding the Abatement of Asbestos Contained Material; the vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner per scope of work. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned of all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of the controls upgrade, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. Removal and abatement of asbestos containing material must meet NYS code rule 56. All the necessary paper work required to finish to completion, along with the final location documentation of asbestos material must be submitted to the DDSO. Removal of floor tiles and mastic have Asbestos Containing Material.
