Secure power and pumps to boiler o Remove glycol from boilers and contain it into barrels to put back into system o Remove and properly dispose of old boilers o Install (2) new Weil-McLain hot water boilers with (2) new Power Flame oil burners o Reconnect new boiler piping to existing heating piping o New operating controls and low water cut off with testing switch and manual reset button o Reinstall glycol into boilers o Do a start up on boilers and put into service. No proposal will be accepted after the time set for bid receipt. A completed bid form There will be no extensions of the proposal date. Faxed proposals are not allowed. Any project questions should be emailed to peter.anderson@stoningtonschools.org, with subject RFP #2024-4 or by contacting the Facilities Office from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday, at (860) 227-5840. Please provide itemized and total costs including shipping. Do not include tax as this is a tax-exempt organization. Note that the total quantity may vary as budget allows. All parts and equipment must be new; refurbished or otherwise used equipment is not acceptable. Equipment must be in stock and available to ship once a purchase order is received. Any vendor that qualifies for the "LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE" must fill out a "Town-Based Business Affidavit Form" signed by an authorized representative of the vendor at the time of the submission in order to be considered for this preference. Failure to submit a Town Based Business Affidavit on the form provided by the Town of Stonington will result in disqualification of town-based business status and loss of any preference given to a town-based business on the part of such bidder as to its bid. After review of all factors, including terms, conditions, and price, Stonington Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any part thereof, or waive defects in same, or accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Stonington. No proposals shall be accepted from or a contract awarded to any company who is in arrears to the owner upon debt or contract or otherwise obligated to the owner.
