There may be multiple bids on this date; it is the bidders responsibility to properly label the sealed proposal and place the proposal inside the correct box. 2.) Mail the sealed proposals to Room 502, City Hall, Buffalo, New York, 14202 with ATTN to the Commissioner of Public Works, Parks and Streets. Bidders should allow for delivery before the bid opening (highly encouraged to schedule for delivery ). It is also highly encouraged that bidders track delivery of their mailed proposals and use appropriate priority mail as necessary. City of Buffalo staff is available to accept deliveries on standard business days Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Bidders Must Submit Prior to Awarding of a Contract a Statement Indicating That They Will Work Toward a Minority Workforce Goal of 25% and a Women Workforce Goal of 5%. In Addition, a Statement Must Be Submitted Prior to the Awarding of a Contract Indicating That the Bidder Will Work Toward a Business Utilization Goal for Minority Business Enterprise of 25% and Women Business Enterprise of 5% Cash payments will not be accepted. The payment includes shipping of the Proposal Documents and USB to the Continental United States. By submission of the non-refundable fee, the bidder will be registered as an official planholder. Only official planholders are eligible to bid on the project. Subcontractors, suppliers, equipment vendors, etc., will also be required to submit the non-refundable fee in order to receive a copy of the Contract Documents. Each Bidders attention is called to the General Municipal Law, which requires a bidders Certificate of NonCollusion. Interior Work: o Design and install shoring to temporarily support interior first floor slab to safely conduct the rest of the demolition work. o Clean interior of tower (excluding the interior of the tank) of brick dust and concrete debris. o Remove the remaining vestibule roof. o Remove vestibule interior masonry and wood interior wall. o Remove existing interior wood stairs. o Remove four (4) existing doors. o Remove interior first-floor slab and temporary shoring. o Construct steel stairs, first-floor, and roof framing, decking, and reinforcement. o Place first-floor concrete slab. o Install new doors and interior finishes and repair interior masonry walls. Exterior Work: o Install vestibule roofing and flashings. o Replace cracked masonry and repoint deteriorated mortar joints. o Repair cracked stone by patching cracked sections, rebuilding interior masonry, resetting stone, and anchoring to structure. o Replace select windows with glass block. o Remove two existing lower window opening masonry and wood covers on both sides of the vestibule and install steel grating and louvers. o Remove existing four (4) louvers, repair surrounding masonry, then provide and install new louvers with bird screens. o Replace existing steel back door.
