The Project consists of 0.884 miles of roadway construction for the realignment of Butler Drive from approximately one mile north of Joe B Jackson Parkway to a new intersection at Joe B Jackson Parkway located approximately 600 feet west of the existing Butler Drive intersection. Construction will consist of grading, drainage, curb and gutter, sidewalks, asphalt pavement, as well as other related roadway appurtenances. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier s check or bid bond in the minimum amount of five percent (5%) of the contract price for the purpose of guaranteeing the bidder will enter into an acceptable contract. A scan of the bid bond should be uploaded with the bid via Open Gov. The original bid bond must be in hand to the City s Purchasing Department prior to an award being made. A contract performance and payment bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. Bidding shall be in accordance with the Tennessee General Contractors License Law. Bidders on construction over the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) must be licensed contractors as required by T.C.A. 62-6-103. Each bidder shall be required to upload their bid and include the bidders name, license number, expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid in accordance with T.C.A. 62-6-119. Bids not conforming to this provision shall not be opened or considered. The City of Murfreesboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.
