The following information shall be submitted with each bid: A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Town of Darien; or, a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder in an amount equal to 5% of the bid amount The Project consists of the construction and demolition of temporary locker room and construction of permanent interior renovations at an existing occupied structure to provide for new Locker Room and Restroom Facilities for the Police Facility for the Town of Darien, CT. Existing facility is located at 25 Hecker Avenue, Darien, CT, as shown and described on Contract Documents prepared by Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC, Berlin, CT. B. The Work consists of minimum sitework and site preparation for areas of new construction. New construction for the proposed Police Locker Room Facility includes non-combustible construction to provide program space for Police personnel. Interior renovations to the existing Police Department are for improvements to the Locker Rooms and associated Rest Rooms. C. Interior to the existing Police building includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, cutting and patching, wall construction, doors, hollow metal frames, glass, gypsum drywall, metal stud framing, wardrobe lockers, interior casework, and new interior finishes, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. D. The General Contractor is advised that the site is town-owned property and that the Town of Darien may be performing operations for Owner's elected improvements of the project site and facilities. The Owner shall coordinate all necessary site activities with, and through, the General Contractor
