As of October 27,2023, project is on hold and no selection planned at this time. Miami University is partnering with Butler Tech career training high school to provide a seamless transition from high school to college. This project is designed to create a space on Miami University's Hamilton Campus, including but not limited to, Butler Tech's Mechatronics and Machine labs in a renovated North Hall. The renovation includes lab spaces of various configurations, classrooms, offices, huddle rooms, commons, and support/circulation spaces. This collaboration may include the MU Regionals ENT program. The building is a concrete frame built in 1984. The envelope has significant deferred maintenance issues that will be repaired and refurbished. The renovation will include complete interior demolition, new electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and IT systems. Lab and instructional spaces would be fitted out in alignment with contemporary business environments. The initial Program of Requirements ("POR") will be developed as a part of this project by Miami University with further verification and refinement provided by the DB team. All aspects of the project and related issues will be implemented and operated consistent with the Contracting Authority and/or Owner's policies and procedures. Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Marilyn Heflin at heflinm2@miamioh.edu with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please). Questions will be answered and posted to the Opportunities page on the OFCC website. Construction Cost $9,000,000, Total Project Cost $12,000,000 The selected Design-Builder ("DB"), as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposal, will discuss and clarify with the Contracting Authority and/or Owner, the breakdown of the Agreement detailed cost components, to address the Owner's project requirements and refine the project schedule. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: develop and maintain estimates of probable construction cost, value engineering, project schedules, and construction schedules; lead and manage the Programmatic, Schematic Design, Design Development, Subcontractor Prequalification and Bidding process, Construction Documents, Construction and Closeout stages. Refer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Manual for additional information about the type and extent of services required for each. A copy of the standard Agreement can be obtained at the OFCC website.
