As of Oct 3, 2023 the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established . The work to be performed under this contract includes replacing the existing pump station with a new prefabricated station and enclosure Contractors are advised that all work must be substantially complete by 3/29/24. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms furnished with the plans, specifications and contract documents, including a Non-collusion Affidavit, Consent of Surety, certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of not less than 10% of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000. Said checks and/or bond shall be made payable to the Borough of Old Tappan and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. In default thereof, said checks and/or bond shall be forfeited to the Borough of Old Tappan as liquidated damages. Any bid submitted by a corporation not chartered in New Jersey shall also be accompanied by a certificate stating that the corporation is authorized to conduct business in New Jersey. All applicable surety bonds required in connection with this contract must be written by a surety company listed on the most current Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570 Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17g. The successful bidder shall provide both Performance and Payment Bonds to the Borough of Old Tappan in the amount of 100% of the accepted bid amount. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127, regarding Affirmative Action, and Executive Order 11246, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the sponsor's Project Plan fulfilling SED utilization. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the Public Laws of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 ET. Seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, with the name and address of the bidder, the project name, and be addressed to the Borough of Old Tappan, Bergen County, New Jersey. All bids are irrevocable, are not subject to withdrawal, and shall stand available for a period of 60 days. The Borough of Old Tappan reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
