The Purpose of This Project is to Construct Approximately 6.919 of Two Lane Roadway With Bridge Structures on Highway 612 in Washington and Benton Counties. This Project Consists of Clearing and Grubbing, Removal and Disposal Items, Earthwork, Aggregate Base Course, Cement Stabilized Crushed Stone Base Course, Achm Base, Binder, and Surface Courses, Cold Milling Asphalt, Achm Patching of Existing Roadway, Portland Cement Concrete Pavement, Approach Slabs and Gutters, Maintenance of Traffic, Concrete Ditch Paving, Minor Drainage Structures, Guardrail, Erosion Control Items, Rumble Strips, Traffic Signal and Illumination Items, Construct Five Continuous Plate Girder Units (Total Lengths 1243.66'), Construct Two Continuous W-beam Units (Total Lengths 465.44) Construct Eight Prestressed Continous Concrete Girder Units (Total Lengths 3348.04') Construct One Sextuple R. C. Box Culvert (Total Span 40.33') Pavement Marking, and Misc Items. Routes: 612 Sections: 1 & 2 County: Benton & Washington Length: 6.919 Miles in Length. Questions pertaining to projects during the advertisement period should be addressed to the Program Management Division at pmd@ardot.gov. The deadline to submit a question is the Wednesday prior to the scheduled letting date. A question submitted after the close of business on the Wednesday prior to the scheduled letting date may not receive a response. In Order to Have a Bid Considered, Contractors Must Furnish a Proposal Guaranty Consisting of Either a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount Bid. in Order for a Bond to Be Acceptable to the Department, the Company Issuing the Bond Must Be Named in the Department of Treasury Listing of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies. the Underwriting Limitation of the Bonding Company Shall Be Adhered to. Any Excess (Between the Face Amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) Shall Be Protected by Reinsurance Provided by an Acceptable Reinsuring Company. These Contracts Are Subject to Normal Prequalification, Licensing and Bonding Requirements, Applicable Labor Laws, Non-discrimination Provisions, Wage Rate Laws and Other Federal Laws Including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. the Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Also Apply. The Arkansas Department of Transportation Complies With All Civil Rights Provisions of Federal Statutes and Related Authorities That Prohibited Discrimination in Programs and Activities Receiving Federal Financial assistance.
