Work under this contract shall include: .1 Monthly maintenance on elevators listed to meet current CSA/CAN-B44-00 safety code for elevators as mandated by both local and national codes. .2 Monthly maintenance on Limited Use, Limited Access lifts (LULA's) listed to meet current CSA/CAN-B44-00 safety code for LULA's as mandated by both local and national codes. .3 Replacement of defective equipment not included. Work outside this contract will require a purchase order to be issued by the Owner. This Contract shall remain in force from the time of award, to August 31st, 2025, with the option of a one-year renewal, subject to the mutual agreement of both parties. If the contract is renewed for an additional year, contract pricing will be based upon the same Annual Maintenance Tender Price for September 1st, 2024-August 31st, 2025 as entered in Appendix A of this tender document. - Bid Deposit Required Digital bonds must be in the amount of 10% of the tender price and must be submitted with the bid. Digital bonds are to be in an electronically verifiable/enforceable format and all instruction details for accessing authentication are to be included with the digital bond. For more information on digital bonds, bidders are to contact their surety company. A Performance Bond may be required in the amount of up to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Performance Security is to be received not later than on (1) week after the award of the contract by the Letter of Intent and prior to the formal execution of the agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Performance Bond has been received. The Performance Bond can be waved at the discretion of the District. A Labour and Materials Payment Bond may be required in the amount of up to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Labour and Materials Payment Bond is to be received not later than one (1) week after the award of the contract by the Letter of Intent and prior to the execution of the formal agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Labour and Materials Security has been received. The Labour and Materials Payment Bond can be waved at the discretion of the District. The Bidder must protect himself and indemnify and save the District harmless from any and all claims, losses, costs, damages, suits, proceedings, or actions arising out of or in executing the work, including his omissions, improper acts or delays. Without restricting the generality of the foregoing, the Bidder will maintain insurance during the period of the Contract or any extensions to the following limits: Comprehensive Minimum General Liability - $5,000,000.00 inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death and damage to property including loss of use thereof, with a Property Damage deductible of $2,500.00. Standard Automobile Policy Liability - $2,000,000.00 inclusive per occurrence for bodily injury, death and damage to property, in the following forms endorsed to provide the District not less than thirty (30) days written notice in advance of any cancellation, change or amendment restricting coverage.
