The Beckley Housing Authority (BHA), located at 100 Beckwoods Drive, Beckley, West Virginia is seeking sealed proposals in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the replacement of the windows at 212 South Vance Drive managed by the Beckley Housing Authority on behalf of FMRS Health Systems in the City of Beckley. In order to receive consideration, a proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in West Virginia, made payable to the order of the BHA in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Housing Authority. Davis Bacon wage rates, as established by the U.S. Department of Labor, and other Federal Labor Standard Provisions do not apply to this project. Bidders shall comply with all State and Federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employment opportunities. The Beckley Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, or to waive any informality in bidding, if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Beckley Housing Authority. It is policy of the Beckley Housing Authority to provide equal opportunities for Housing Authority contracting for small firms owned by socially and economically disadvantaged persons. It is also policy of the Housing Authority to prohibit discrimination against any firm in pursuit of these opportunities to conduct its contracting activities so as to prevent such discrimination, to correct present effects of past discrimination, and to resolve complaints of such discrimination.
