Project Scope of Work to include following: 1. Providing all labor, equipment and materials as required for the integration of existing Simplex fire alarm systems in the majority of buildings onto the campus-wide single mode fiber optic system. 2. Some buildings require the upgrade of existing antiquated Simplex fire alarm control panels to new Simplex fire alarm control panels with new single mode fiber optic interface. 3. Various buildings require the upgrade of existing communication cards in existing Simplex fire alarm control panels to interface with campus-wide single mode fiber optic network. 4. Provide all head-end integration as required for a complete and operational campus-wide Simplex fire alarm system on single mode fiber optic network. Performance Time: 180 calendar days from date established in writing as the Notice to Proceed. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to University of West Alabama in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
