PROJECT LOCATION: STORRS CAMPUS, PATRIOTS PARK, 124 LAKE STREET, COVENTRY, CT 06238 The project includes upgrades to the existing Coventry Boathouse to support the UConn Athletics Women Rowing program. The University is looking to replace existing structure to accommodate the needs of the UConn women rowing team with the purpose of increasing the number of toilets and showers, providing lockers, and changing areas and providing storage for the new rowing boats, dock and launches. The scope of work will include renovating 2,545 sf of existing space and expanding the building by approximately 2,000 sf additional. The new space encompasses a total of 4,545 GSF, including four (4) showers, six (6) toilets, four (4) sinks, one (1) unisex restroom, fifty (50) lockers, and approximately 3,700 SF of storage. Work will include interior fit out, finishes, lighting, acoustical improvements, window treatments, and MEP upgrades. In addition to this scope of work, there will be potential modifications to data and electrical systems to accommodate new lighting and finishes, provide HVAC for a portion of the building, and data for card readers. Site work and utilities reconfiguration/expansion will be required. Coordination with the Town of Coventry and UConn Athletics Department is required for this project.
