Question Deadline 09/28/2023 at 5:00 PM MT All questions regarding the project will be received via e-mail to the following:bellison@moabcity.org and compliance@moabcity.org Notice is hereby given that the CITY OF MOAB (OWNER), will accept bids from qualified proposers to provide all services for the complete abatement and disposal of asbestos-containing materials and demolition of the residential structure located at 737 Mountainview Drive described in general as: Performing and managing asbestos abatement and demolition services for a fire-damaged single-family residence including the structure, masonry, and foundation. All asbestos-containing materials and demolition materials are to be removed and demolition notification form coordinated with the City Building Official and/or Inspector. Asbestos testing by a qualified testing firm has been obtained by the City and is available in the Bidding Documents. All friable asbestos will be taken to a landfill of your choice that accepts the material; non-friable asbestos will be taken to the Klondike Landfill, Moab, Utah; all other materials will be taken to the Moab Landfill or the Moab Transfer Station. Moab landfill disposal fees will be paid directly by the City. The selected contractor must provide all regulatory agencies including the Utah Department of Environmental Quality/Air Quality required notification of asbestos abatement activities ten (10) working days prior to commencement of demolition activities. All work shall be done in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This includes dust abatement and site security/safety. Proof of insurance to perform this type of work will be required before notice to proceed is issued. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids.
